# SQL-VP-017 Retrieve a policy's parent policy number (obsolete)

Used by `clsPolicyData.GetParentPolicyData()`, an `<Obsolete>`-marked method superseded by the
`Associations`/`clsAssociationTypeCode` model, retained for backward compatibility.*
